The Mauritian Silver Edge Club Inc was formed in 1997 with
the aim of fostering friendship amongst Mauritian Senior
Citizens residing in the Municipality of Casey and neighbouring
districts, and providing support to older, disabled Mauritian
people.
Other objectives of the club are to inform its members on all
aspects of healthy ageing, social welfare, Centrelink benefits,
taxation, educational and social interactive programs through
talks given by representatives of various organizations and
through its quarterly newsletter “Le Petit Journal”.

Members of the Mauritian Silver Edge Club Inc meet every Tuesday
at the John Pandazopoulos Hall in Doveton from 11.00 am.
Club activities comprise pétanque, bingo, scrabble, dominoes
and other social games.
Fundraising functions such as dinners, dances, trivia nights,
a yearly concert are held in the main hall.
Every year the club organizes 3 pétanque tournaments,
a Games Day, a Christmas Party and an End of Year Ball.
The club also organizes a yearly luncheon for
homebound elderlies, and various outings within Victoria and
interstate trips for its members and their friends.
